Ethical AI
At Reelist, we believe talent is a critical differentiator for every organization. We use artificial intelligence and automated technologies to help our customers create, distribute, analyze, and optimize recruiting content, media, advertising, communications, and related experiences.
AI can improve creativity, efficiency, relevance, and performance, but it should be used responsibly.
We are committed to developing and applying AI in ways that support human decision-making, promote fairness, protect privacy and security, and respect the rights of candidates, customers, and communities.
Our Ethical AI Principles
Transparent and Understandable
We aim to be clear about how AI is used within Reelist and the role it plays in our Services.
Our AI tools are designed to assist with recruiting, advertising, communications, content, matching, analysis, optimization, and related functionality rather than obscure how consequential employment decisions are made.
Human-Centered
Our technology is designed to support people, not replace appropriate human judgment.
Employers and recruiters remain responsible for their recruiting, hiring, employment, advertising, and other business decisions.
Fair and Responsible
We seek to develop and operate AI systems responsibly and to reduce the risk that automated technologies create or amplify inappropriate bias.
We expect customers to use Reelist’s technology in compliance with applicable employment, anti-discrimination, advertising, privacy, and other laws.
Robust, Secure, and Safe
Privacy, security, reliability, and responsible data handling are important components of how we design and operate our technology.
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect candidate and customer information and support responsible use of AI throughout our Services.
Accountable
We take responsibility for the AI-enabled technologies we develop and operate.
We also provide tools and information intended to help customers understand their responsibilities when using AI-assisted functionality within recruiting and advertising workflows.
Artificial Intelligence at Reelist
Reelist may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other automated technologies to provide, personalize, optimize, develop, and improve our Services and the experiences of candidates, employers, and other users.
These technologies may support functions such as:
- recruiting and advertising content creation;
- video, image, and media generation or enhancement;
- matching and recommendations;
- campaign optimization and performance analysis;
- communications;
- analytics;
- fraud and abuse prevention; and
- other product functionality.
AI-generated and automated outputs may contain inaccuracies or omissions and should be reviewed appropriately before being relied upon for material decisions.
Reelist’s use of personal information in connection with artificial intelligence and machine-learning technologies is governed by our Privacy Policy, applicable notices and consents, individual rights and choices, and applicable law.
Our Position on NYC Local Law 144
New York City Local Law 144 applies to certain automated employment decision tools (“AEDTs”) used by employers or employment agencies to substantially assist or replace discretionary decision-making in hiring or promotion.
Reelist’s Services are designed primarily to support recruiting, advertising, content creation, candidate engagement, communications, campaign optimization, and related activities.
Reelist does not design its Services to autonomously make hiring or employment decisions on behalf of customers.
Whether a particular technology or workflow qualifies as an AEDT depends on the functionality involved and how that technology is used. Customers remain responsible for evaluating their own hiring processes, integrations, and uses of automated technologies and for complying with any laws applicable to those activities.
Where customers use Reelist together with third-party systems or other technologies that may qualify as AEDTs, the applicable employer, employment agency, or technology provider may have obligations concerning bias audits, disclosures, notices, or other requirements.
Reelist will continue to evaluate its Services as our technology and applicable laws evolve.
Compliance and Security
Responsible AI depends on strong privacy, security, and governance practices.
Reelist maintains privacy, security, and compliance programs designed to support our obligations under applicable laws and contractual commitments, including requirements associated with:
- GDPR;
- CCPA/CPRA;
- VCDPA; and
- applicable security and data-protection standards.
Where applicable, information about Reelist’s security and compliance posture is available through our Trust Center.
